Description

This assay is intended for professional laboratory use, not self‑testing. PAP is measured via ELISA-type protocol from dried blood spots. PAP is a secondary biomarker used in some cystic fibrosis (CF) screening algorithms (often following elevated immunoreactive trypsinogen, IRT).

While the LaCAR site provides limited detail on the PAP method, it is listed under their immunoassay screening portfolio along with assays for TSH, IRT, 17‑OHP, etc.
